Terms of Service (DRAFT)
Draft version 0.1, 2026-10-15.
1. The service
CitedTravel ("we") provides an API and MCP server that return travel facts compiled from third-party public sources, with citations and confidence scores. [Legal entity, address and governing law: TO BE COMPLETED.]
2. Informational use only
The service is provided for information only. It is not legal, immigration, customs, health, safety or financial advice. Entry requirements are decided by the destination's authorities and can change without notice. You must not present CitedTravel output as a guarantee of entry or as a boarding decision. See the Disclaimer.
3. Accounts, keys and acceptable use
Keep API keys confidential. Do not exceed rate limits, resell raw access, scrape to rebuild the dataset, or use the service unlawfully. We may suspend keys that abuse the service.
4. Data licenses and attribution
Facts derive from sources under their own licenses (CC0, public domain, OGL v3, PDL 1.0, MIT, Unicode License, CC BY). You must display the attribution strings returned with each response. Nothing in these terms restricts rights you have under those source licenses.
5. Plans, payment and x402
Paid monthly plans (Builder, Pro) are not yet available; when offered they will be billed through Stripe in advance and renew until cancelled.
Pay-per-call (x402): you may pay for individual API or MCP calls in USDC on the Base network at the prices shown on our pricing page at the time of the call ($0.005 per static call, $0.01 per entry lookup, $0.02 per trip brief). Payment is authorised by your wallet signature and settled on-chain through a third-party facilitator (Coinbase Developer Platform). You are responsible for your wallet, its security and any network fees.
Pay-per-call charges are final and non-refundable once settled. On-chain transfers cannot be reversed, cancelled or charged back by us or by you. We settle a payment only for a request we can answer; if a settled request nevertheless cannot be delivered, we record the transaction and may, at our discretion, return the amount to the paying address.
Prices may change for future calls. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to you. [Applicable law, consumer cooling-off rights and tax treatment: LEGAL REVIEW REQUIRED.]
6. No warranty
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of accuracy, completeness, availability or fitness for a particular purpose.
7. Limitation of liability
[TO BE DRAFTED BY COUNSEL. Must address consumer-protection limits in the UK, EU, US and Japan, and must not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.]
8. Changes and termination
We may change these terms with notice. You may stop using the service at any time.
